Toastmaster Craig in All Black Garb
Danny was the General Evaluator, and what an amazing job she did of her General Evaluation. So thorough Danny, and novel and useful recommendations for all the evaluators, I certainly got a lot out of it and I'm sure the other evaluators would have aswell. Danny was supported by the duo of Lucy (TK) and Chris (Grammarian) who both performed their roles with aplomb!
Sheryl led a thoroughly enjoyable TT session titled, 'What If?', her 6-year-old son being the influence in theme! I enjoyed the creative and entertaining responses. Christine gave a great TT evaluation report, very thorough once again. Although she did mention that few of us spoke to the topic - an important reminder to us all to listen very carefully to the question being asked! Thanks for the reminder Christine!
We were treated to three enlightening and informative speeches last night. Graeme told us eloquently about 'Bath time' childhood experiences in his entertaining speech. Adrienne presented a great interactive educational speech titled 'Welcome Parents'. Steve educated us all about the environmental choice logo and tick and endeavoured to increase our awareness of what exactly is in the cleaning products we use on a daily basis, very interesting! The speech evaluators were Sarah, Emily and Ian respectively and I felt Emily and Ian did a fantastic job with their recommendations and commendations and that the speakers would have all received some useful feedback. An encouragement and reminder to us all to directly apply the recommendations in our subsequent speeches and I believe we will all notice a dramatic improvement in our communication skills! President Colin ran a well-timed and thorough business session.

I would appreciate it if you could use photoshop on any future photos of me. I would like my tummy eliminated and my height increased. If you look at the photo above you will see that Craig is bending down to shake my hand. If an increase in height is not possible perhaps you could shorten Craig's legs if we are to be photographed together again.
ReplyDeleteAdrienne, you are not alone. We all look up to Craig. So the ultimate (or was that oltimate) solution may be, as you say, to shorten Craig's legs!
ReplyDeleteAdrienne - you are so funny! And so awesome! Don't change anything! Sarah
ReplyDeleteI have become so effective at willing people not to choose me for TT, that I never (ever) actually get chosen now. In fact, from memory, in my 3 1/2 years at the club I've probably only been a chosen one about 4 or 5 times. This inexperience will not bode well for my representing the club at the Regional TT competition. I cannot believe I am writing this!
ReplyDeleteWhile I practise potential topics in my head endlessly, I really would benefit from the adrenal rush of actually being picked out.
Please choose me - no matter what jobs I'm actually booked for. Of course, I can't promise to deliver... but will benefit ultimately. Danny
I agree ..

pick she, Da..
nny!
And the highlight of the evening was Danny's nennish tarts. I had to have seconds just to confirm that the second one was as delicious as the first! It was. The kitchen closed before I could go back for another.
ReplyDeleteWere there any left-overs?
Chris
Thanks for letting us all know Danny - I had no idea you were hardly ever chosen! You will be at the top of the TT priority list from now on! We know you will be an amazing representative for the club next year. Sarah
